Service Description

Photobiomodulation (PBM) uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate the cells of the retina. This programme is designed primarily for people with early and intermediate dry age-related macular degeneration (dry AMD), and is considered on an individual basis for other eye conditions that are no longer responding to conventional treatment. The full programme includes: an initial consultation and grading of your condition; a course of 9 treatment sessions (3 per week over 3 weeks); a final post-treatment assessment; and a written report emailed to you. The programme is repeated every 6 months to build on and help maintain results. Before treatment begins, please get in touch to arrange the scans and vision checks needed. PBM is not a cure and does not replace the care of your ophthalmologist. Results vary between individuals, and we will always be honest about whether treatment is likely to help in your case. Price: 1350 pounds for the full programme (initial consultation, all 9 sessions, final assessment and written report).
