Dry Eye Disease FAQs
PBM is a non-invasive light therapy that uses specific wavelengths of light to support the cells in your eyes. At RevolutionEyes, you have a specialist assessment first, then a tailored treatment plan for dry AMD or persistent dry eye disease.
Your assessment is carried out in a professional clinical setting by an experienced optometrist. Full details of where to come are provided privately once your appointment is arranged. Your treatment sessions are then delivered at home.
Yes. PBM treatment is delivered at home for suitable patients, so you can receive specialist care with fewer trips to a clinic. We explain the process clearly before you start, so you know what to expect.
No. PBM is painless. Most people find each session comfortable and relaxing. If you have any concerns, we will talk them through with you beforehand.
Each treatment session is short—usually around 10 minutes from start to finish.
Everyone is different, and outcomes vary from person to person. We cannot promise a particular result. We will only recommend treatment when we believe it is clinically appropriate, and we will explain honestly what you might realistically expect.
Not always. That is why every patient is assessed first. If we do not feel treatment is right for you, we will tell you—an assessment does not commit you to treatment.
We provide home treatment across Fife and surrounding areas. Our fees are £150 per session. If you would like a full breakdown, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
